Course Objectives: At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

- Identify important health disparities faced by LGBT people.
- Describe the reasons for LGBT health disparities.
- Discuss several resources available to health professionals.
Dr. Ryan Combs is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Promotion & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Louisville School of Public Health & Information Sciences. His research interests include LGBT health disparities and the social determinants of LGBT health. His Ph.D. dissertation examined transgender health policies and practices in England.
