Program Application Workshop Series (PAWS): Family Support Worker
Course Duration: 6 Hours
Course Description: Participants completing this course will receive practical guidance related to form completion for HANDS Family Support Workers, which is in compliance with program policies and procedures. Facilitated by members of HANDS Technical Assistance team, this course will address appropriate content for HANDS forms as well as tracking and time management strategies. The morning portion will be focused on descriptive documentation of the Home Visit Log. The afternoon portion will address remaining HANDS forms pertinent to the FSW role, as well as organization and time management tips. This course is strongly recommended for both new and veteran staff.
Support staff with the application of policies and procedures.
Discuss how Policy Updates affect the use of HANDS forms.
Review forms related to the Family Support Worker role.
Emphasize the importance of the accurate and timely completion of HANDS forms
Explore methods to reduce work related stress by tracking and time management.

This session provides 6 Hours of HANDS Wraparound in the area of Program Orientation (2.0 hours), Stress and Time Management (2.0 hours) and Problem Solving/Crisis Intervention (2.0 hours). There will be a 15 minute break in the morning and a 15 minute break in the afternoon.
