Course Duration:
8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Course Description

HANDS Goals Training focuses on the family as a whole and the child as an individual.  Participants will explore family values; strength-based beliefs and goal attainment; and family traditions.  Participants will be given the opportunity to learn about parental expectations - who the child becomes, how to build a stronger family and ways to support families while they are working on their goals. Setting goals with families supports one of the HANDS goals - family self-sufficiency. This course will help participants understand brain development and the benefits of goal setting.

Course Objectives

  1. Define cultural values, traditions and family practices as they relate to goal setting.

This helped me understand to focus more on parent child growth and education. Rather than financial things.
